| April 14, 2008 | Seeking Vendors for Farmers' Market on the Townshend Common
Post Oil Solutions (POS), a group based in Southeast Vermont seeking to foster cooperative, sustainable communities is organizing a new outdoor farmers' market on the Common in Townshend, VT. This market will open on June 5th and will be held weekly on Thursdays from 4-7 pm serving residents and visitors traveling through the West River Valley. We are seeking farmers and local food producers from the region who are interested in this new direct market opportunity. POS has just completed a second successful year as sponsor of the Winter Farmers' Market in Brattleboro. Our goal is to support local farmers while increasing access to locally produced food. We thank the Townshend Select Board for their enthusiastic support of this market on the Town Common.
