Announcements are for municipal use only. We are happy to post non-municipal events or meetings on the calendar. Please contact the Town Clerk with the necessary information for your event or meeting.

Look to this page for listings of special or postponed meeting dates, important deadlines, open positions in Town, and information about what projects are being put out to bid.

Please note that it won't be possible in all cases to post meeting changes so posting to this page should not be considered to determine compliance or non-compliance with Vermont Statutes in regard to proper posting. Municipal meeting changes will be posted in the Town Hall and School Board meeting changes will be posted in the elementary school in accordance with statute.

September 2, 2009 Individuals are being sought who are willing to participate in the Vermont Emergency Response Volunteer Registry System. Click Here for additional details or go directly to the VERV web site.
January 11, 2009 Windham Regional Commission has developed an on line survey for Town Residents to respond to in regard to the Town Plan. Please Click Here and take the survey.
 

Self-motivated individuals with reliable transportation needed to help complete the Non-Response Follow-Up phase of Census 2010 operations. These individuals will be responsible for face-to-face contact with households that have not completed and returned their Census questionnaires. Positions are part- to full-time, temporary, with evening and weekend hours required.  Requirements: must be 18 years of age prior to beginning work, be available to attend a one-week paid training, present two acceptable form of identification, submit to background check and possess a valid driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle. Positions begin at $13.50/hour, with mileage reimbursement at .50/mile for field positions. Call (802) 264-0860 to schedule an entrance exam today. Information at www.2010censusjobs.gov

April 29, 2009 There is a Vacancy on the Townshend Planning Commission.  Anyone interested should contact the Select Board.
